The exhibition explored the question of the nature of time, as first posed by Marcel Proust in his eponymous literary masterpiece. It examined how time can be visualized, experienced, and questioned in art. The works on display critically engaged with systems of temporal organization, explored the transience of matter and ideas, or depicted movements and changes in a single snapshot. The exhibition featured diverse artistic approaches that, through painting, sculpture, photography, and installation art, placed the past, present, and future in a dynamic dialogue.
