2. Data Processing to Enable Website Use
Each time you access content on our website, connection data is transmitted to our web server. This data includes:
The IP address (Internet-Protocol-Adresse) of the user,
Date and time of the request,
Referrer URL,
Device numbers (e.g., UDID (Unique Device Identifier) and similar identifiers), device information (e.g., device type), and
Browser type / version
These connection data are neither used to identify the user nor merged with data from other sources; they serve solely to provide the website. After no more than 7 days, connection data is anonymized by truncating the IP address to domain level. The legal basis for processing your data is Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
3. Data Processing on Request
Use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. You are neither obliged to visit this website nor to provide personal data. However, the provision of personal data may be required for certain features, such as using the contact form. If you do not provide personal data for the purposes described below, you may not be able to use certain functions or services of the website.
3.1 Contact Form
If you contact us via the provided contact form, your data will be stored so that we can respond to your inquiry.
Please note that data transmission over the Internet may have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible. Providing your e-mail address is sufficient to contact us. Any additional information you provide is voluntary and serves solely to personalize our communication.
The legal basis for processing your data is generally Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest lies in responding to your inquiry. In cases of pre-contractual or contractual measures, the legal basis is Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. b DSGVO.
4. Video Surveillance
Video surveillance takes place on the premises of Sammlung Pohl and within the exhibition spaces. Affected areas are indicated by appropriate signs. Recordings on outdoor premises and in exhibition halls are stored for 8 days and in storage areas for 21 days, after which they are deleted. In exceptional cases, such as multi-day holidays or vacations, retention may be extended. The legal basis for video surveillance is Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Protection of property and prevention of crimes constitute our legitimate interest.
5. Newsletter
Newsletter Data
If you wish to subscribe to the newsletter, we require your e-mail address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the provided e-mail address and consent to receiving the newsletter. This data and your consent are collected via a newsletter subscription form. No additional data is collected, except on a voluntary basis.
The data collected is used exclusively for sending the requested information and is not shared with third parties. The processing of the data entered into the newsletter subscription form is based solely on your consent (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You may revoke your consent to the storage of your data, your e-mail address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time. The legality of data processing carried out prior to revocation remains unaffected.
The data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored until you unsubscribe or the purpose ceases. Upon unsubscribing or the cessation of purpose, your data will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list. We reserve the right to delete or block e-mail addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our discretion within the framework of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Data stored for other purposes remains unaffected.
After you unsubscribe from the newsletter, your e-mail address may be stored in a blacklist if necessary to prevent future mailings. Data in the blacklist is used solely for this purpose and is not merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements for sending newsletters (legitimate interest under Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO). Storage in the blacklist is indefinite. You may object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.
6. Data Transmission
We only share your personal data with third parties if necessary to provide our services, if there is a legal obligation, or if the transfer is permitted by another legal basis. Where required, we have concluded agreements with recipients on data processing in accordance with Art. 28 DSGVO.
7. Duration of Data Storage / Criteria for Determining Duration
Your personal data will be stored as long as necessary for the purposes described above, unless there are overriding legitimate reasons of Sammlung Pohl or, in the case of withdrawal, no other legal basis for data processing exists. In certain cases, e.g., where there is a statutory retention obligation, your data will not be immediately deleted but first blocked.
8. Security Measures for Protecting Your Personal Data
To protect your personal data on this website, we use a secure online transmission method called Secure Socket Layer (SSL). You can recognize this by the closed padlock symbol in the address bar (https://). By clicking the symbol, you can view information about the SSL certificate. The symbol’s display may depend on your browser version. SSL encryption ensures the secure and complete transmission of your data.
